Fran Astorga (they/them) is a bilingual dramaturg whose approach weaves together cultural memory, structural disruption, and ecological listening.
With a background in community organizing and grassroots education, Fran brings a relational, decolonial lens to new work development and production dramaturgy. They specialize in multilingual, movement-based, and culturally specific projects, often working as a bridge between text, body, and audience.
Fran has provided dramaturgical support for productions at Aurora Theatre Company, Oregon Shakespeare Festival, Word For Word, and Teatros Unidos. Their dramaturgy honors the land, the labor, and the lived experience behind every story.
